Meet your Local Expert, Keiko(kay−ko)!

Hi! I'm Keiko(kay−ko). Let's Have fun!
Hi! I’m Keiko(kay−ko), but you can call me Kay. I was born and raised around Kichijoji and Jindaiji Temple, and these neighborhoods have been my backyard since childhood. While I lived in the United States, Kichijoji was always the first place I visited whenever I returned to Japan. Kichijoji is often ranked among Tokyo’s most desirable neighborhoods to live in, loved for its lively local culture, independent shops, cafés, and beautiful green spaces. Just a short trip away, Jindaiji Temple offers a completely different atmosphere, with over 1,300 years of history, peaceful surroundings, and charming traditional soba restaurants. I specialize in guiding visitors through these two unique areas, and I can also show you the local charm of Koenji and Nakano. My tours focus on the casual, fun, and everyday places where locals actually spend their time—not just the famous tourist spots. I love introducing visitors to hidden cafés, neighborhood restaurants, quirky shops, quiet side streets, and little corners of Tokyo they might otherwise miss. Wondering what to do after visiting the Ghibli Museum? I’d be happy to help you discover the perfect way to spend the rest of your day! I love meeting people from different countries and sharing the places I call home. My tours are relaxed, flexible, and personal. Rather than rushing from one attraction to another, we can wander at your pace, enjoy a coffee, explore a local shopping street, or simply stop whenever something catches our eye. As a true local who knows these neighborhoods inside and out, I’d love to share a more personal side of Tokyo with you—the everyday life, hidden gems, and little discoveries that make this city so special.
