Overview

In Tokios einziger Färberei in Takadanobaba, die seit über 70 Jahren besteht, erleben Sie die traditionelle Hiki-Zome-Handpinselfärbetechnik. Mit derselben Technik wird auch der im Atelier ausgestellte Seidenkimono gefertigt. Unter Anleitung eines erfahrenen Handwerkers wählen Sie ein Design und färben ein Tenugui (Baumwollhandtuch). Ihr fertiges Stück wird getrocknet und kann noch am selben Tag mit nach Hause genommen werden.

Nach dem Workshop führt Sie Ihr lokaler Experte zu seinem Lieblingsplatz in Takadanobaba und gibt Ihnen Insidertipps zur Region.

Such a relaxing and fun experience. The master dye artist was wonderful, and I walked away with a beautiful, unique souvenir!

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dyed, as the dye may stain. Avoid light-colored clothing. Aprons are provided by the studio, but do not cover everything.
