The street leading to the temple has welcomed visitors for centuries. Today it is lined with snack stalls, traditional shops, and crowds from around the world, but the rhythm of the neighborhood still feels connected to an older Tokyo. Asakusa is one of the few places in the city where historic landmarks, local businesses, and everyday life continue to exist side by side. This tour explores both the famous sights and the streets around them.
Beyond the temple grounds, the neighborhood opens up into quieter streets filled with small workshops, family-run shops, and traces of the area's past. Your Local Expert helps you navigate between the major landmarks and the places that give the district its character. The famous sights are only part of the story.

The tour was awesome! Took me to a part of Tokyo I had never experienced. The tour guide was a great communicator and was adaptive to my level of familiarity with Japanese culture, and what we desired to see. 10/10

The Asakusa tour was absolutely incredible, the walk through the culture, and history was quite enlightening. Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed. Much of our satisfaction was because of our amazing tour guide, Rose! She was warm, patient, flexible, and knowledgeable, making every part of the experience feel engaging. Rose took the time to share meaningful insights. Her kindness, and professionalism truly stood out. If it’s your first time, I highly recommend the Asakusa tour with Rose as your tour guid

Hana was great! We were very fortunate to have her show us around Asakusa. She was so friendly and informative that it was like touring with family. I wish we could have spent more time with her for the rest of our trip in Tokyo. Highly recommend!

The tour was great. Showed us the classic Asakusa temple, and the not so known one as well. We loved how he took his time to take us on a scenic walkway as well!

Matcha- und Teeverkostungstour in Tokio
Overview
