In Nakano, the neighborhood at the center of Tokyo's manga culture, you can actually do it, guided by a professional manga artist rather than a tourist demo. The lesson is taught in English, tools are provided, and there is no prior experience required, so absolute beginners and seasoned doodlers are equally welcome.
