Hello! I'm Mikaela from Long Island, New York! I have lived in Tokyo for over 2 years and have been self-studying Japanese for nearly 6. I am living and going to school in the Shibuya/Setagaya area. I am really into travelling and exploring different cultures, and I love seeing the ins and outs of different cultures all around the world, as well as meeting all different kinds of people from around the world! I am a big History nerd and love learning about history and seeing historical sites. I am also very into subcultures of Japan such as gaming, anime, and fashion! Growing up near New York City and living in Tokyo for the past 2 years, I have plenty of experience with helping tourists, as well as guiding people visiting me in New York or Japan and showing them some of my favorite sites. I'm hoping I can share some of those sites with you!
