Day 1 - Tokyo: Arrival in Japan
Arrive at the airport and transfer to hotel.
Check-in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the night in.
Day 2 - Tokyo: Shibuya and Harajuku
Begin your day at Meiji Jingu Shrine, entering through its grand torii gate and stepping into a tranquil forest oasis in the heart of the city. Take time to learn about Shinto traditions and the deep cultural significance of this revered shrine.
Continue on to Harajuku, a lively district celebrated for its vibrant street art, bold fashion trends, and eye catching desserts that have become Instagram favorites.
From Harajuku, weave through the quieter backstreets toward Shibuya, eventually arriving at the elegant Omotesando Boulevard. This stylish avenue is lined with luxury brands, unique boutiques, and some of Tokyo’s most impressive contemporary architecture.
Day 3 - Tokyo: Tsukiji Fish Market and Akihabara
Begin your morning at Tsukiji Fish Market, where you can take in the vibrant atmosphere of one of Tokyo’s most famous food destinations. Stroll through the lively stalls at your own pace and enjoy the unique sights and aromas of this historic market.
Then continue to Monzen Nakacho, a charming old town neighborhood known for its temples and shrines. Wander through its characterful streets, stop by Fukagawa Fudoson or Tomioka Hachiman Shrine, and soak in the serene spiritual energy that defines this traditional area.
After enjoying a relaxing lunch nearby, make your way to Akihabara Electric Town, the heart of Tokyo’s pop culture scene. Browse anime focused shops, retro gaming arcades, and a wide range of quirky specialty stores offering everything from collectibles to unique gadgets.
Day 4 - Matsumoto: Matsumoto Castle
Check out of your accommodation and take an express train from Shinjuku Station to Matsumoto, a picturesque town at the base of the Japanese Alps known for its deep samurai heritage.
Begin your visit with Matsumoto Castle and its surrounding gardens.As one of only twelve original castles remaining in Japan, its five story main keep dating back to the 16th century is the oldest surviving castle tower in the country.
The castle is especially breathtaking in spring, when the grounds are adorned with soft pink and white blossoms.
Day 5 - Matsumoto: Matsumoto Museum and Miso Brewery
Stroll along a picturesque street lined with traditional merchant houses, charming boutiques, and cozy cafes, giving you a glimpse into Matsumoto’s Edo era heritage.
Continue into a lively alley filled with quirky shops and whimsical attractions best known for its frog themed goods revealing a playful and distinctive side of the city.
Next, head to the Matsumoto Museum, located near the local miso brewery, to explore an impressive collection of Yayoi Kusama’s works. Day 6 - Kanazawa: Alternative Geisha District
Take a limited express train to Nagano Station, then transfer to the bullet train bound for Kanazawa, a city renowned for its exceptional seafood, rich samurai heritage, and beautifully preserved geisha districts.
In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll through one of Kanazawa’s atmospheric geisha quarters, where softly lit teahouses and traditional wooden buildings create an elegant and timeless setting before dinner.
Day 7 - Kanazawa: Explore Kanazawa
Begin your day with lunch at Omicho Fish Market, Kanazawa’s renowned seafood hub, where you can savor fresh local specialties before continuing your exploration.
After lunch, make your way to Kenroku en, one of Japan’s most celebrated gardens. Take time to enjoy the serene pathways and pause at the tranquil teahouse to savor a cup of premium matcha.
Later, unwind at a contemporary Zen museum, featuring minimalist rock gardens, thoughtful exhibits, and peaceful spaces designed for reflection.
If time allows, consider visiting the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art to experience its innovative architecture and rotating modern art installations.
Day 8 - Kyoto: Zen Temple and Geisha Districts
Check out of your hotel and take an express train to Tsuruga Station, then transfer to the Thunderbird train bound for Kyoto.
Upon arrival at Kyoto Station, take a taxi to your hotel, settle in, and begin exploring the cultural treasures of Higashiyama. Visit one of Kyoto’s most historic Zen temples, then stroll through the city’s traditional geisha districts, gaining deeper appreciation for Kyoto’s storied past and enduring elegance.
Day 9 - Kyoto: Fushimi Inari Shrine and Fushimi Sake District
Start your morning early to experience Fushimi Inari Shrine before the crowds arrive. Walk through the iconic path of thousands of red torii gates winding up the mountainside, and learn about the folklore tied to this sacred site, including rice related rituals and Inari’s important role in agriculture and local belief.
Afterward, make your way to Kyoto’s historic Fushimi Sake District, home to centuries old breweries. Enjoy sampling different varieties of sake while discovering the cultural significance and craftsmanship that define this renowned brewing area.
Day 10 - Kyoto: Arashiyama and Tenryuji Temple
Travel west to Arashiyama, a scenic district renowned for its iconic bamboo forest, tranquil riverside views, and historic temples. Wander through the towering bamboo grove, one of Kyoto’s most photographed landscapes, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere that makes Arashiyama a beloved retreat from the city.
Day 11 - Osaka: Osaka Day Trip
Take the shinkansen to Osaka, a dynamic city celebrated for its vibrant street food scene and lively nightlife.
Begin your exploration in Namba and Dotonbori, two of Osaka’s most iconic entertainment districts. Wander through neon lit streets lined with towering billboards, bustling eateries, and energetic shops. Discover the area’s history as a longtime center of theatre, commerce, and street culture, and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere that has earned Osaka the nickname “the kitchen of Japan.”
Enjoy the classic views along the Dotonbori Canal, famous for the Glico Running Man sign and its dazzling reflections at night.
Continue by visiting some of Osaka’s most beloved neighborhoods and local markets, perfect for sampling street food and shopping. Along the way, gain insight into the city’s unique culture and unmistakable personality.
Day 12 - Nara: Nara Day Trip
Travel to Nara and enjoy a leisurely walk through Nara Deer Park, where friendly free roaming deer greet visitors as they have for centuries. Visit the sacred Todai ji Temple, one of Japan’s most historically important landmarks, and marvel at the immense Great Buddha housed within its vast wooden hall.
Continue exploring the area’s beautiful temples and tranquil gardens, each offering a peaceful glimpse into Nara’s ancient heritage.
In the afternoon, take the train back to Kyoto.
Day 13 - Tokyo: Shimokitazawa, Koenji and Kichijoji
Check out of your hotel and take a taxi to Kyoto Station, then board a bullet train bound for Shinagawa Station in Tokyo.
Spend your final day exploring Tokyo’s vibrant vintage shopping neighborhoods. Shimokitazawa, Koenji, and Kichijojieach offer their own distinct charm from narrow alleyways lined with independent thrift shops to thoughtfully curated second hand boutiques and cozy cafes. Take your time browsing for unique fashion pieces and enjoying the creative, laid back atmosphere that defines these beloved local districts.
If time allows, take a peaceful stroll through Inokashira Park, a serene green oasis in the heart of Kichijoji. Wander along the lakeside paths, watch paddle boats drift across the water, and unwind in the tranquil surroundings before heading out for your final dinner in Tokyo.
Day 14 - Tour Ends: Departure from Japan
Check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport. Finally, board your flight and depart Japan!

Cancellation Policy
We understand plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows: 90+ days before departure: 80% refund, 20% deposit held as credit. 60-89 days before departure: 50% refund. 7-59 days before departure: 20% refund. Less than 7 days before departure: No refund. Once a tour is booked, no refund of deposit (20% of the total charge). Failure to make full payment within 30 days of your tour start date may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit. If your tour is canceled due to severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will refund all payments except the deposit. If inclement weather (e.g., a typhoon) disrupts your trip, we offer a ¥20,000 contribution to cover unexpected hotel or transport costs.
