Você vivenciará a tradicional técnica de tingimento manual Hiki-Zome na única tinturaria de Tóquio, localizada em Takadanobaba, que opera há mais de 70 anos. A mesma técnica é utilizada para criar os quimonos de seda expostos no estúdio. Você escolherá um desenho e aplicará a tinta em um tenugui (toalha de algodão), sob a orientação de um mestre artesão. Sua peça finalizada será seca e poderá ser levada para casa no mesmo dia.
Após a oficina, seu guia local o levará ao seu lugar favorito em Takadanobaba e compartilhará dicas sobre a região.

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dyed, as the dye may stain. Avoid light-colored clothing. Aprons are provided by the studio, but do not cover everything.
The studio requires at least two guests per session, so solo bookings are not available on their own. If you are traveling alone, you can use the TOMOGO! App or email us to see if there is an existing group you can join. Your Local Expert can also recommend similar workshops that accept single guests.
