On visiting Kyoto, we thought it would be a good idea to have a guide to show us around and Jake Campbell was a fantastic choice. His warm and friendly greeting in our hotel lobby was just terrific and quickly took us to see the most beautiful shrines in the quieter parts of Kyoto. Jake is extremely knowledgeable on all things Kyoto, and we’ll certainly recommend him to all our friends who may visit Kyoto. Jake was extremely personable and had so much knowledge of the area and all the shrines somewhat off the beaten track that were cool and quiet! He had so much energy and was so easy to get on with, 3 hours flew by! Definitely book a tour with him if you're in Kyoto!

Screw 5 stars I rate Jake 6 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! Jake was one-of-a-kind! My first tour I ever took in Japan and it was so much fun! Even though I was late coming for the tour it wasn't a bother for him (I really appreciate that as I screwed up coming from Tokyo). Jake understands the language and culture very well. Whether you want to tour the busy areas or the less busy ones - he knows the best route. I don't have enough good things to say about Jake. I wouldn't hesitate to book him again (or call him up for a beer 🍻). Don't make a mistake, go with Jake!
