A few streets away from the famous Shibuya crossing, the crowd actually thins out and the vibe completely changes. You catch the smell of something frying behind a counter that seats maybe eight people, and the cook doesn’t even look up because you’re just another person coming in for lunch.
There are food tours that hand you a list of predetermined spots. This is not one of them.
