Yes. Yanaka is easy to explore by yourself, but this experience adds to what you can’t get alone. A local-guided walk through Yanaka Ginza and a hands-on chochin lantern workshop. It turns a simple visit into something more memorable and interactive, instead of just a self-guided stroll.
The lantern workshop is something most visitors never find, so even Yanaka regulars get something new. Your Local Expert also tailors the walk around what you have not seen, from quiet temples to backstreet shops.
Comfortable shoes for Yanaka's streets and gentle slopes, and clothes you do not mind getting a little ink or paint on during the workshop.
None at all. The craftsman guides you through each step and simple designs often look the best, so children and beginners are welcome.
