Autumn is one of the most magical times to visit Japan, with cooler weather, vibrant red and gold leaves, and seasonal foods everywhere you look. But if you want to take that magic up a notch, there's no better place than Tokyo Disney Resort during Halloween.
From September 16th - October 31st, 2026, both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea transform into festive wonderlands filled with pumpkins, villains, fireworks and exclusive entertainment, and seasonal treats that you can't find any other time of the year.
If you are visiting for 2 days, this guide will help you maximize your time and capture the best of Disney Halloween 2026. One day to Tokyo Disneyland for the classic fairytale magic and one day at DisneySea for its more atmospheric, elegant Halloween experience. Here’s how to make the most of this year's Disney Halloween over two full days:
Tokyo Disneyland Halloween 2026 Highlights - Classic Magic with a spooky twist
Your first day is best spent at Tokyo Disneyland, where the traditional Disney magic mixes with Halloween theming. The decoration, characters in costume, and special events make the park feel both nostalgic and brand new at the same time.
Morning
If there's one piece of advice I can give, it's this: arrive early. The park officially opens at 9:00am but regulars line up well before that, and it makes a huge difference in getting on the most popular rides before wait times skyrocket.
Make sure you've downloaded the Tokyo Disney Resort app ahead of time and linked your tickets. If you're with friends or family, creating a group in the app makes it much easier to book shows and manage ride times together. Once you enter, immediately put in an Entry Request for one of the stage shows. Mickey’s Magical Music World is my top recommendation.
DPA is a pay per ride, Disney Premier Access fast pass, allowing you to skip a large portion of the queue.
From there, head straight to the high-demand rides. Beauty and the Beast, Pooh’s Hunny Hunt, and The Happy Ride with Baymax should be your first stops. And don't miss out on the Haunted Mansion “Holiday Nightmare” - a special overlay inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas (running September 15th, 2025 - January 7th, 2027).
Of course, you'll want to pick up seasonal snacks along the way, limited-time pumpkin churros, desserts and drinks are a must try.
Afternoon
In the afternoon, the park shifts into full Halloween celebration mode. The must-see is the Villans’ Halloween Parade: Into the Frenzy. This high-energy parade features dancers, floats, and Disney villains taking over the streets in spectacular style.
When it comes to food, Disneyland has outdone itself this year. Eastside Cafe is serving an Ursula -themed pasta set that's perfect if you want something savory, while Center Street Coffee House is offering a decadent villain-inspired dessert trio, available only from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.

Halloween evenings at Disneyland are unforgettable.The night lineup in front of Cinderella Castle is a cannot miss. Reach for the Stars, the Tokyo Disney Electrical Parade, and finally the Night High Halloween Fireworks, set to spooky music and visible across both Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea.
The World Bazaar is filled with exclusive merchandise, and this year the collections are extra tempting.
- The Mickey and Friends Halloween collection features classic Disney characters themed in costumes, with items like badges, pens, drawstring bags, and more.
- The Happy Ghost collection is more whimsical and cute, featuring wearable accessories like wristbands and headbands.
- For those who love a dramatic touch, the park is selling Villains inspired hair ties.
Tokyo DisneySea Halloween 2026 Highlights - Halloween on the Water
For the second day, head to Tokyo DisneySea, which is more “atmospheric” than Disneyland, and during Halloween it becomes truly spectacular. This year, Disney is bringing back the Coco-inspired Dia des los Muertos.
Morning
Just like at Disneyland, it pays to arrive early. Once inside, use the app to request entry for Dreams Take Flight, one of the newer shows in the park. Then, head to high-demand rides: Journey to the Center of the Earth, Soaring, Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror.
Don’t miss the Disney Halloween Greetings at Mediterranean Harbor, where boats carrying Mickey and friends float past in Halloween outfits. With music, backdrops, and colorful costumes. It’s a great way to soak up the seasonal atmosphere.
Afternoon
The highlights of this years Halloween season is in Lost River Delta, where the event “Lazos de la Familia” brings Coco to life with marigold decorations, live mariachi performances, and themed food stalls.
Food is also a star here. At Lookout Cookout, you’ll find a Lost Kids snack box with a Bone-in sausage, sweet potato, and more. Sultan's Oasis has a rich purple sweet potato soft cream, pumpkin churros and caramel popcorn. And a cannot miss is at the New York Deli, you can try the well loved purple bread sandwiched with pumpking rattan and spicy chicken.
Evening
For dinner, many restaurants serve villain-inspired dishes. Special lunch and dinner sets will be served at Ristorante di Calaletto and Magellans - Reservations are essential.
The must-see nighttime spectacular is Believe! Sea of Dreams, a breathtaking show that brings together water, light and music. And just like at Disneyland, the day ends with the Night High Halloween fireworks. Watching the colors reflect across Mediterranean Harbor is the perfect finale to your trip.

Guests can wear full costumes from September 15th - 30th and October 16th - 31th. If you’re visiting early October, costumes are not allowed inside the parks, so plan your outfits accordingly.
Practical Tips for Visiting Tokyo Disney Halloween 2026
- Tickets: Buy online well in advance. Halloween season is one of the busiest times of year, and tickets often sell out quickly.
- Crowds: Weekdays are more manageable. Weekends and especially October 31st are extremely crowded.
- Weather: By late October, evenings in Tokyo can get chilly. A light jacket will make nighttime shows much more comfortable.
- Hotels: If your budget allows, staying at a Disney Hotel or partner hotel near Maihama makes early mornings and late nights far easier.
- App: The Tokyo Disney Resort app (available in English) is essential for checking wait times, making show entry requests, and browsing/ordering seasonal food items.
